By reading this newsletter you would have noticed some important changes. Yes, Ōhiwa Harbour is online!
Some years ago, the Ōhiwa partners decided it was time to establish an internet presence. The website’s primary goal is to have a versatile platform for sharing information on the Ōhiwa Harbour Strategy partners’ work for the harbour. It provides information on all those other agencies, iwi and hapū, and people in the community, looking after the harbour. The website also contains general information on the complex cultural and natural history of the harbour. It is therefore also a way to grow the understanding of both locals and visitors on the harbour’s do’s and don’ts so they can respect this special taonga. After a few years in development https://www.ohiwaharbour.co.nz is now online but remains ‘work in progress’. Your feedback is welcome, please email tim.senior@boprc.govt.nz.
