Ōhope Harbourside

Rotary Whakatāne together with the Ōhope community aim to open up and restore the harbour margins at Port Ōhope for everyone to take pride in and enjoy.

The collaborative effort got underway in 2018 with native plantings to enhance the Harbourside Trail and restore the wetland habitats.

The control of pest animals and plants is also part of the groups’ activities.
